Cecconi's

My mom and I dined at Cecconi’s yesterday evening - we were seated right by the window for a perfect view of both bridges. Both of us follow a vegan, gluten free diet and had absolutely zero issues being accommodated. Our server, Juan, was kind, quick, professional, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond for me. While we split the butter lettuce salad for a starter (quite a generous portion even for us garden folk), my mom opted for a gluten free penne pasta with pomodoro sauce + added mushrooms for her main. I used to get the Beyond Meat Sausage and Mushroom pizza with vegan cheese, which is sadly no longer on the menu. However, Juan spoke to the chefs and pizza powers to be, and they were able to recreate the pizza for me — gluten free too! Honestly, it was the best version of that pizza I’ve ever had there. I ate every single bite. My mom and I also shared a side of roasted potatoes, which were so good (without being too oily).
