Wonderful dinner at Chapter 1. We almost did not get to go because the Open Table app said we were wait listed. Our group went from 6 to 4, so checked the app and we were able to get a table at 5:30. When we arrived at 5:15, the place only had people in the bar. It did not get "busy" until we were leaving. The manager was amazing and said ALWAYS call the restaurant if you can't get a time, there may be a chance they may be able to accommodate. Scallop Risotto was made gluten free and a 10/10. Roasted Cod was made gluten and dairy free and 10/10. Fish and Chips 10/10 * and they use* REAL* onions in the onion rings . Chapter 1 Bolognese was the only bust as no meat was seen and was lacking flavor. The chocolate dessert and cheese cake were 10/10, cocktails were great. Miranda and all other staff we interacted with were amazing. They appear to only have high top tables, so it was a little challenging for an elderly parent.

The staff was friendly and live music was a nice touch, but I cannot recommend this restaurant for anyone with any gluten or food allergies/sensitivities. After in depth discussion of dietary needs, my filet mignon meal was still served to me with gluten and pepper. Fortunately, I recognized it right away and refused it. The waitress never offered to comp at least my drink for my long wait and troubles. The service was slow for not being busy when we arrived and my new meal was not great at all. I packed it to go because I was having reactions to the air quality in there; The windows were open and people walking by smoking as well as pepper in the air. Hubby did like his fries, lobster roll and bacon scallops. For the prices and lack of service, our disappointment is an understatement and we won't be returning.
