I have to eat Gluten Free and Dairy Free and I love dining at Chen Yang Li! I am not celiac, I don't know that Chen Yang Li would be considered celiac safe, but I am NCGS and as long as I only order items that they say can be made gluten free, I never have an issue. They do use soy sauce that contains gluten, so only order the items they can make gluten free. For me that tends to be the crispy sesame chicken, the coconut shrimp, and the yang house rice. Which is enough for me! Most of the plates offer a generous amount of food, you won't be hungry.

Very good, if somewhat uninspired, American Chinese food. High scores for their gluten free options which are much appreciated. For me, dishes aren’t super consistent and are often too lightly spiced — not talking about hot spice here but everything; ginger, black beans, whatever. So, on many occasions the food can be kinda bland and nondescript. Having said all that.. we’ve been going there for years. They do a brisk take-out business. The online ordering and pickup process is efficient. It’s unclear if the multiple local CYL restaurants are related at all. This review is specific to Nashua.
