Went for Spa day and lunch. Three out of five spa facilities not working, so just a cold pool and sauna. No explanation on arrival or compensation offered. Thankfully the weather was sunny so we spent most of the afternoon outside relaxing once we found two loungers without bird poo on them, but kind of pointless paying for this so called experience. I really enjoyed my lunch which was a Mediterranean platter, my wife did not as gluten free vegetarian options were very limited and she had a simple dry sandwich. Price of coffee is extortionate, £9 for two is simply unforgivable. The staff were lovely but sadly the place is poorly managed. Overall, much room for improvement, to say the least.

Set in beautiful woodland with a lake. The rooms are in seperate timber lodges. The hotel offers spa treaments and conference facilities. The menu had little Gluten Free choice – either beef or steak, which is surprising these days. We decided to dine in although I should have seen the signals as it seemed many were travelling to eat elsewhere, and one guy was waiting for Uber Eats to bring food! I had the steak which was the most expensive item on the menu and would have expected perfection. The steak was good however the chips were greasy and had an aftertaste. I pointed this out to the server at the time. Offering to ask the chef to cook more doesn’t show much empathy for the customer. I didn’t eat most of the chips. We sat in the bar afterwards for a drink …. I think you missed an opportunity to gain feedback at that point – and maybe an apology. Judging by the number of poor reviews received, and the stock reply given to reviewers there appears to little improvement or focus on customer satisfaction.
