Chimera Coffee

Coffee and tea were great, the space is pretty clean and the staff is delightful. According to my partner, regular pastries are great, but gluten free food is not good at all.

I love going to Chimera when I'm writing or grading papers. The atmosphere is contemporary, welcoming, and comfortable. They bake delicious, homemade gluten-free and vegan treats, and they offer a wide assortment of dairy-free milk options for your coffee of choice. I love their matcha and Americanos. This is easily the best coffee shop in Bangor—and beyond!

Cute little coffee shop, nestled into Downtown. Can't really go wrong with their chai, and I've heard their coffee is great to people who love coffee. Always some baked goods, usually pretty great. Most of the staff was changed a few months ago, so I haven't had a chance to make friends with them yet, but they seem quite nice. Update about a year later: The chai recipe has changed, but it's maybe a bit better even? The selection of baed goods has changed a lot, they now have many vegan and gluten free options. Their coffee is in fact great, and the staff is in fact nice. All in all, 5/5. No notes.
