I have been coming to this chipotle for almost two years and never once had an issue until today. My fiancé has celiacs disease which means she can’t have gluten and has to be extremely cautious about cross contamination. Chipotle is one of the few restaurants she can actually eat at so it’s a nice thing we do for ourselves a few times a month. Typically asking the employees to change their gloves and use fresh utensils hasn’t been an issue and they’ve been kind and courteous about it. Today however, the trans girl that helped me was extremely rude. When I asked her to change her gloves and use fresh utensils and told her why, she rolled her eyes begrudgingly and did so with a huff, all but saying what you just asked of me has ruined my entire day and I want you to know it. All of the pans of food were extremely low when I got there and she made literally zero effort to replenish them despite the pans in the takeout line being essentially full, instead opting to tell me “we don’t have anymore”. The entire time she was helping me her attitude was aggressive for seemingly no reason. My guess would be she was having a bad day. I understand that as someone who has worked in food service myself, but I did not cause your bad day and you shouldn’t have taken it out on me for trying to get food for my fiancé that she can eat safely.
