I’ve eaten at this Chipotle location twice recently because I try to eat clean, gluten-free, and prefer places with less processed options, like Chipotle or Qdoba. The food here was fresh and tasted great, which is why I came back, and the bowl I ordered (white rice, double chicken, lettuce) was a good choice for my diet at a reasonable price point.
However, I noticed a consistent issue with cleanliness at this location. During both visits, the tables were sticky with rice, and there was visible trash on the floor. Having just been to a Chipotle in Illinois with similar cleanliness problems, it seems this could be a wider issue. For comparison, Qdoba and Chick-fil-A locations tend to keep their spaces spotless, even during busy times.
The service was okay, though very minimal—just food in the bowl without a greeting or a thank you. Chipotle is providing quality food, but improving cleanliness and customer interaction would make a big difference. I’d love to see this location take steps toward these improvements to create a better overall experience for customers in the Fort Sam Houston area.
