Chiseldon House Hotel and Restaurant

Fabulous experience. Wonderful location, pure old England style. Surrounded by greenery with centuries-old trees. Our room overlooked the park, old style, very clean. The staff were very kind and helpful (despite our poor English spoken with a Tuscan accent). They were very attentive to my intolerances and pampered me at breakfast with delicious gluten-free toast. We also had a great time at dinner, so much so that we had dinner three nights in a row with them, they have several gluten-free options, really abundant dishes, I'll leave you some photos below. Highly recommended starting point for exploring the Cotswolds =^.^=

Do NOT eat at the restaurant if you have any dietary requirements/allergies. After confirming they could cater for me before hand and even double checking the morning of the meal that my meal was fully gluten free. The restaurant served me a 'gluten free' burger which contained wheat, barley and oats. Staff serving had no clue about the food they 'just serve what the kitchen give them', had no understanding of how this would affect me as a coeliac. One member of staff asked me if I had 'severe coeliac or not'. No apology either. I dread to think what would happen if someone with severe allergies came to eat here! Very disappointing, not safe for people with dietary requirements, staff are dishonest, uneducated and frankly don't seem to care what affect this can have on customers. Had to take 2days off work due to severe gastric issues.
