This is the absolute best locally owned grocery store I have ever visited. It's hard to believe you're a hundred miles outside of the Cities-halfway between MPLS and Duluth. You'll want for almost nothing when visiting Chris' Food Center. So convenient from 35W, plenty of organic foods, gluten free section, wonderful produce and the meats are top notch. While I'm not a fan of Subway, there's one in the store and a robust deli as well. Clean restooms, and a gas station. Sandstone and the surrrounding communities are so lucky to have a grocery like this, other small towns should take a cue, this is a gem in an area that could be a food desert, but instead offers selections similar to upscale groceries in the Cities.
