As a person with no gluten allergy, that loves sushi, this place is great. But my family and friends and I went a couple weeks ago and one of my friends is celiac. We brought this to the attention of the waitress and she supposedly communicate this to the kitchen and brought out a bottle of GF soy sauce (eventually).
The bad news is my friend ended up with a horrible reaction to the food and continued to feel unwell with a gluten allergy reaction after our visit to Chubby Fish.
I would probably have given you a 5-start for my own experience, but since this is about an experience for all my family and friends, and with one that felt unwell for over a week after our experience, I can't do anything but give you a lower score.
For those without a gluten allergy (or other food allergies), the food quality is quite good. The restaurant is reasonable about their fish to rice ratio and the fish was fresh. The cooked items were equally of good quality.
I wish Chubby Fish the best. I'll be back but unfortunately, it will have to be without one of my best friends. Which likely means I'll be going much less often.
