Churchill St. Restaurant

I'll start with the pros: I am celiac and am always excited to find new places in the area to eat GF. MOST of the items on the menu can be accommodated for gluten free and dairy free. They have a dedicated fryer for fries etc which is great. I have been here many times before and had no issues. I was very surprised today when I went and got glutened during brunch. I asked if their oat milk was GF, they said yes. I went to get a top off and asked to see the oat milk, and it is not certified GF (a big no no for celiacs) but sadly for me I had already eaten it. It seemed the front staff was not aware they needed to check for the GF certification. Bummer that this place no longer seems as "safe" to eat at. The many other times I have gone I have had no issues so maybe this was a fluke.

Being Celiac I really wanted to love this place. This was my second visit and I won't be back. I had the chicken sandwich, which I was looking forward to, but it was so greasy I couldn't even eat it. I wished I had a paper napkin to blot it off, but there was only linen. My mom had the patty melt, and she said it was extremely greasy as well. The fries were good. The best thing that it has going for it is a very pleasant ambiance. There is a semi enclosed patio which is very nice. They have a decent wine list.

Had a gluten free chicken sandwich with fries. It was so good!!! Great atmosphere and staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it.
