Churn of the Century

Stopped by while camping near-by after seeing their "Old Fashioned Ice Cream" sign on our way in and let me just say it's the cutest little spot for ice cream. It's a family run ice cream spot and absolutely worth a stop. They've got an old engine they use to mechanically run the ice cream machine and use ice/salt to freeze it. So it's truly old fashioned rather than just a gimmick (which was my initial assumption). My wife LOVED the butterscotch cookie dough flavor and I enjoyed their mint cookie. I was also pleasantly surprised that their cookie dough was in all the flavors was gluten free (not a requirement for me but nice to see) and their appeared to be something for everyone! Sounds like they're only open on the weekends this summer (we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon), so keep that in mind if you plan to stop by. Looking forward to returning next time we're camping in the area!
