It's rare that my wife and I go out to eat and are blown away by the flavor and quality of the food, but Circa 1886 accomplished this, with flair, elegance, charm, and precision. The staff was superb, the portions correct, the wine pairings spot on, and the food flavor was dialed to 11. Combined with the ambiance of the classic carriage house, a meal ranked in our top 5 of all time. Our meal included special modifications for dairy and gluten allergies. Very interesting upscale dining experience. Several options for tasting menu or dinner with several courses, all of them very inventive, some adventurous, some unusual pairings but all of them delicious. I was part of a large party and I have a lot of dietary restrictions - pescatarian, gluten free, dairy free, sugar free, the list goes on - but the chef was kind enough to accommodate me and still provide a fantastic dining experience. Readily available gluten-free options brilliant gluten-free and dairy-free bread. Absolutely superior service. Meal was about 2.5 hours long. Ambiance is good not great and the prices are not for the faint of heart. Great for a special occasion.
