A pure moment of culinary bliss. The Citrus restaurant offers a warm, intimate, and welcoming atmosphere. Three colleagues were visiting Nice, looking for a memorable dinner—and we were delighted. A huge thank you to Clara, our exceptional waitress. Her sincere smile, palpable passion for cooking, and detailed explanations of the menu enriched our entire experience. She perfectly embodies the art of attentive and professional service. Everything on the plate was exquisite: • Starters: I chose the scallops served in their shells, accompanied by crisp vegetables and Thai-spiced butter—a refined and perfectly executed starter. One of my colleagues enjoyed the sea bream ceviche, fresh and colorful. • Main Courses: My two colleagues savored the confit Iberian pork shoulder, a tender and flavorful dish. For my part, the grilled swordfish, accompanied by tandoori sweet potato purée and coconut cream, was exceptionally tender and delicately seasoned. • Desserts: The Citrus-style tiramisu was a real favorite with my colleagues. For my part, the gluten-free intense chocolate cake, served with sweet ginger ice cream, was to die for. • Drinks: The recommended wine was delicious, and the coffee at the end of the meal was simply perfect. The atmosphere was calm, well-located, ideal for a quiet chat. We warmly recommend this establishment. Thanks again to Clara, who deserves our full recognition. An absolute culinary delight. Citrus is a warm and welcoming restaurant where the three of us, visiting Nice, enjoyed an unforgettable evening. Clara, our server, was truly outstanding—kind, enthusiastic, and deeply passionate about the food. Her smile and insightful descriptions of the menu elevated the entire experience. She exemplifies professionalism and genuine hospitality. Everything we ordered was delicious: • Starters: I had the scallops served in shells with vegetables and Thai-spiced butter — beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. One of my friends enjoyed the sea bream ceviche, which was fresh, colorful, and flavorful. • Main courses: My two companions ordered the slow-cooked Iberian pork shoulder with ginger onion jam — rich and satisfying. I had the grilled swordfish, which was incredibly tender, served with tandoori sweet potato puree and coconut cream. A perfect balance of flavor. • Desserts: The Citrus-style tiramisu was a highlight for them. I chose the gluten-free dark chocolate lava cake with sweet ginger ice cream — heavenly. • Drinks: The recommended wine was spot on, and the coffee at the end was excellent. The setting is calm, cozy, and well-located — perfect for a relaxing dinner. We highly recommend this gem. Heartfelt thanks again to Clara for her outstanding service.

Food was OK - especially the starters- but not amazing. For anyone with allergies or dietary requirements - Citrus is not safe for coeliacs and the service really let this place down. I chose this restaurant based on other reviews, thinking that I would have gluten free options (I am coeliac). However, despite communicating this to the waitress, not enough care was taken to ensure that my meal was gluten free. We made it very clear that I had a gluten allergy, but I was served gluten-containing bread as an appetiser. We made it clear we wanted to share the starters, but gluten containing bread was again served as a side with the soup. I’m not convinced the soup was gluten free either. We also made it clear we wanted to share the main courses. However, one contained gluten (and I was only informed of this when it was served to table). I then asked if the other dish on the table was gluten free and the waitress responded by saying “I’ll let you be the judge of that - it has potatoes on it”. I avoided eating anyone else’s food to be extra cautious, but despite this I have since had a reaction to the food, meaning my food was contaminated. I can’t say it was worth the pain either - it was nice enough but not worth it to feel this way after.
