My favorite pub in Exeter- the vibes are always cozy (the fireplace is often lit in the winter), the staff is always so kind and helpful, and it is a fantastic place to have a meal or spend a rainy afternoon reading. The food is excellent- the chips are a favorite. The cocktails and drinks are delicious as well. My friends and I had our Christmas Eve dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. They have plenty of non-gluten and vegetarian options so there was something for everyone. The food was amazing, the decor was so cozy and warm, and the staff was fantastic as always. I can't say enough good things about City Gate. Thank you!
