Civil Coffee

Wish they had more gluten free options. Even without them, it completely shines with its great outdoor area and fantastic coffee. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing cafe experience that is much more comfortable than the more boutique cafes like Maru or Kumqut.

This is the best kept secret in LA. The coffee is excellent —my bf orders the hot or iced latte and I like to taste it with a few sweet sips for immortality. The tacos are way too good and I can't help but order them any time of the day. I was shook when I tried their avo toast. Who thought of peas on toast?! Because it's the most genius taste I've ever had for millennial health on bread. I shutter in disbelief at how perfect the lemon zest blends with the avocado guacamole... For my gluten free besties, their corn tortilla is warmed to crispy perfection, and you can ask to substitute your poison with their gluten free bread. Their gluten free bread is not like any I've ordered in LA —fluffy on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. And most importantly, the crew is the best —they are real, kind, and funny. Can't think of a better place to spend my mornings.
