We unfortunately only stayed one night at this charming hotel, but if I was to return to Norway would make it my base! I upgraded to a waterside view, which was 100% worth it, Because the only downfall of the hotel was the rooms with disabled facilities had the most awful views! However, there was enough to hold onto for mobility impaired in the bathroom to manage for one night in a really lovely room! The bed was really comfortable. The view was amazing. The staff on reception and in the restaurant were really On point. What a phenomenal breakfast, There was something for everyone there was gluten-free and dairy free products easily available a selection of hot food, cold food, herring fish cheese, fruit yoghurts so no one could Ever go hungry! It was in an ideal situation to explore The town, Walking distance to absolutely everything. We went on a Cruise of the fjords, Explored the fish market and took the vernacular railway up to the highest point to have a drink and look at the views. The hotel added to making this a very memorable stay, thank you!

We loved staying in this old beautiful hotel on the waterfront in Bergen. The bed was comfortable and our room had a small balcony where we could see the funicular, shops, and homes. The view was particularly beautiful at night. The staff was quick to respond to requests for more towels and offered to order taxi service even though there was a kiosk in the lobby for such orders. By far the best and most amazing part was the breakfast that is a part of your room rate. They had tables and tables of breakfast choices, from hot fried eggs, omelets, scrambled, potatoes, beans, mushrooms to oatmeal, meats, cheeses, and breads of all sorts. They also had quite a few gluten free options. There was plenty of something for everyone's dietary needs and preferences. It was a perfect way to start our day of touring around.
