Classic Cakes

Incredible service for a custom made birthday cake. Would highly recommend. We live in North Wales and were celebrating my husband’s birthday in Manchester. I contacted Classic Cakes and asked if they could make a Legend of Zelda birthday cake with the following details: Link with his ocarina, the Great Deku tree and the Master Sword. The Classic Cake team got back to me quickly and said they would be happy to make this cake. Additionally two people in the birthday group had dietary needs: one vegan and one gluten free. I asked if two separate similarly themed cup cakes could also be made to go with the main cake so our friends could enjoy the celebration. Classic Cakes were more than happy to do this (on a side note, some other cake makers I’d approach weren’t willing to do this). As we had a day of events planned in Manchester for the birthday culminating at a meal in a restaurant in Deansgate Square, I asked if the cake could be delivered to the restaurant which Classic Cakes happily agreed to. The cake arrived on time for our meal without issue. It was interesting that I didn’t need to send Classic Cake any reference images for the cake design (though I imagine if they needed they’d have asked) so the first time I saw the finished cake when we got to the restaurant. I genuinely shed a tear when I saw it. It was perfect and the attention to detail incredible. Clearly this cake was made with love and passion for the cake making craft and the customer. The picture speaks for itself! So if you’re in the greater Manchester area and looking for a custom cake for your celebrations I cannot recommend the Classic Cakes team enough. Thank you to Tracey and the team for making my husband’s special day even more special. Ps. The cake was delicious! And our friends who had their own bespoke cup cakes said the same. Have used Classic Cakes two years running for my son's birthday cakes who is allergic to wheat. Both cakes have been delicious - I definitely would not have guessed they were gluten free. They both looked great too and followed our specifications perfectly. I would say the prices are quite high for custom cakes - you could get it cheaper elsewhere but probably not as high quality for the cost. Very friendly in store too.
