A Consistently Excellent Dining Experience Our first visit to Coastal Del Mar for dinner was so impressive that we returned a day after for lunch. The restaurant exceeded expectations both times. On our first visit—a busy Friday night—we didn’t realize reservations were recommended, yet the staff went out of their way to accommodate us without hesitation. The service is consistently warm and attentive, from the greeting at the door to the final course. The food tastes remarkably fresh, and it’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality ingredients. We also appreciated that the menu includes several gluten-free options, which made dining easy for us. Across our visits, we tried a variety of dishes: the trout, fish and chips, shrimp and avocado plate, caprese and tomato salad, sushi, key lime pie, and the dark chocolate crème brûlée. Each dish was flavorful, well-presented, and thoughtfully prepared. The ambience at Coastal Del Mar is another highlight—relaxed yet refined. Whether dining during a lively evening rush or a quiet Sunday afternoon, the atmosphere remains inviting and enjoyable. Overall, Coastal Del Mar delivers on every front, excellent service, fresh and flavorful food, and a comfortable coastal ambiance. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again soon.

Service was not good. Server said the soup was gluten free, but our brother-in-law got very sick after eating it. Celiac people beware!
