The smoked 1/2 chicken (bone-in, not cut into pieces, an actual 1/2 chicken) is one of the best in town. Is is a little messy to eat a BBQ 1/2 chicken? Yes, but trust me, it's worth it. They are also savvy about GF. If you have a gluten intolerance, they can tell you what on the menu is safe for you. Yes, you can get gluten-free french fries here.

MORE THAN EXCELLENT!!! We travel a lot. We’ve been to so many BBQ restaurants, in Texas Austin, Lockhart, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas. And in other states or countries. Community BBQ is definitely the best BBQ food of all the BBQ restaurants I’ve ever been. The Brisket is superb. The Ribs are something else. The Coleslaw is simply the best. The pulled pork is soooo good!!! And the BBQ sauce is amazingly delicious. Also, they understand what’s like for people who can’t eat gluten. Almost everything here is gluten free. This is what’s called a small “Hole in the wall” place. Like the best kept secret. I guess it’s run by a family because everyone takes such good care and you can see their passion for what they do. I sincerely recommend this place.
