Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Rockville, MD

Maybe it was an off night for them but I'm not sure. Made a reservation online for our anniversary dinner, with a comment that will need a gluten-free menus. When we got there, we couldn't hear the hostess over the music, and when we did hear her she confirmed if we needed gluten-free menus and we said yes. When we got seated at our table, we were provided with regular menus. When our waitress finally showed up about 10 minutes later, we had to ask for the specific gluten-free menus. Waitress was courteous but didn't see them often, only about 4 or 5 times over an hour and a half-ish we were there. We also had to specifically ask for more water. The food was fantastic. We got the GF Crispy Brussels Sprouts, which we both highly recommend getting, the GF Gnocchi Carbonara and the GF Red Wine Braised Short Ribs. Both of which were perfectly cooked. But once again the service, from even the start, was a big let down.

Celiac post - Coopers Hawk exceeded my expectations as someone with Celiac and eating out! The server Autumn and manager Cam were both knowledgeable on everything gluten free down to cross contamination. They had an entire extensive menu and side of the kitchen dedicated to gluten free. Even when they offered the table free bread, they had gluten free bread as well! Not to mention everything tasted amazing!! Another shot out to Autumn who really made our experience, we went for a friend's birthday and made us feel like family. Cam was also very attentive to make sure we enjoyed a gluten free SAFE experience. It's so refreshing to find a restaurant that cares that much and listens to the customers concerns. Definitely will recommend this place 1000x.
