Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant- Toledo, OH

I’m celiacs and eating here was so much better than the last time which was a few years ago. Their GF menu is very extensive and hello Brussels and fries! It’s so nice going somewhere and being able to have these items. They’re made in their own separate fryer. However, the seed oils are out of control. My plates were covered in oils and I know it isn’t olive oil or anything. If the fried items were fried in tallow oh my gosh they would be out of this world. I’m hoping more restaurants will move away from seed oils but if you’re gf and looking for a good place with lots of options, this is for you.

Make reservations in advance, or you may wait! Let's start with - I'm not a wine drinker so I don't belong to the club but my friends love it. This restaurant is open and bright, yet still elegant. The food is made in a "scratch kitchen." They have a gluten-free menu. The food is delicious. I typically get the Crispy Asian Sesame Chicken salad. I've also tried the Napa Chicken. As a collective, my party and I ordered every dessert. My favorite is the Key Lime but the Smore Budino is right up there too. Be prepared to take some home. The service is also great. The wait staff is friendly, knows their stuff, are efficient, and pop in and out to check on you as needed. We'll be back.
