It was the recommended for us to go for fish and chips.I asked for gluten free batter and was asked if I was ceolic ,excellent . I'm not.Fish : we just got the usual cheaper one ,chips chunky. Not greasy. Recommend this shop.

We came here on the advice that it was the best fish and chips our friend had ever had - we weren't disappointed. Service was fairly speedy, despite being fully packed. They have QR codes on the dockets so you can even track the order. The fish was incredible, superbly fresh and the batter was a perfect ratio of thickness and crispness. For some reason, grilling the fish would have more than doubled the time - so our Gluten Free person just opted for the slaw with their chips. Cool option for buttered bread as a side, and I wish more chippies did this. Only complaint was that not all the outdoor tables are shaded by umbrellas, so we had to be a little aggressive to score a table. Overall, indeed it is the best battered fish I've had in NZ.
