Core Coffee & Kitchen is a fantastic spot for anyone who needs to eat gluten-free. The café is bright and modern, and they take coeliac safety seriously by using separate equipment to prepare all their food. The food is delicious! I had the GF Core Breakfast but definitely will come back to try the GF French toast. It’s a great place to enjoy a safe, tasty meal without stress. One thing I will note they don’t have a large variety of milk options, just normal, oat and GF oat milk. So if you are looking for coconut or soy milk they won’t have it. But highly recommended for gluten-free food!

We took a day trip from Manchester to Liverpool, and for a cosy midday coffee and bite, we chose Core Coffee & Kitchen — and wow, we’re so glad we did! Honestly, I could see myself visiting Liverpool more often just for these. One of the main reasons we picked this place was because one of us has coeliac disease, and Core offers a separate gluten-free menu — a big plus! In the photo, you can see the gluten-free Mushrooms on Toast and gluten-free Poached Apple French Toast, alongside an Iced Americano and a Long Black. Everything — the food and the drinks — was absolutely delicious. There was also a third plate not pictured: the regular Mushrooms on Toast, which I tried since I don’t have any dietary restrictions. And honestly the toppings are so full of flavour that you hardly notice the difference in the bread — both versions were fantastic. At one point, we asked about the soup of the day, and our lovely server Caroline brought us a little sample in a cup without hesitation. Huge thanks to her — she was so friendly, helpful, and just an all-around sweet person. We also ordered Skin-on Fries on the side, which were equally delightful. All of this came to £47, and for the quality, it felt like a total steal. We were beyond satisfied with the food, the atmosphere, and of course, Caroline’s amazing service. I’ll definitely be back soon!

visited Liverpool on Saturday and sought a gluten-free sausage sandwich, utilizing the Find Me Gluten-Free application. This establishment was the highest-ranked result. The experience was exceptional; the café was charming, the staff welcoming, and the food outstanding. The gluten-free menu was extensive and offered comparable pricing to the standard menu. Importantly, separate cooking equipment was dedicated to gluten-free preparation. As a highly sensitive coeliac, I experienced no adverse reactions and found the food delicious. The only suggestion would be to include gluten-free black pudding on the menu.
