Crêpe Bar

I went to the Crepe Bar today because I was interested in trying one of the vegan crepes listed on their menu. She let me know that the crepes themselves did have dairy but they have a gluten free option. I ended up going with the Creamy Avocado and Jammy Egg Toast, which didn't have dairy. The egg was a bit strange cold but overall it was alright. I ordered a side a Fried Brava Potatoes and they were delicious. Overall the food was okay, I might go back just for the potatoes. However the menu is a bit misleading, so just if you can't have dairy or are vegan the crepes aren't an option.

I rarely leave bad reviews but I had such a disappointing experience and feel so discouraged after coming here this morning that it needs to be said. A group of us got together this morning for breakfast before separating for the summer and I had been really excited to check this place out because I have celiac disease and they offer gluten free batter for their crepes. I assumed both the chickpea and buckwheat (despite its name, buckwheat is naturally GF) were gluten free options and I was pretty hyped because I haven’t been able to eat crepes in years. Not only is the buckwheat made to be not GF, they were out of chickpea batter. This is probably pretty stupid but it’s been a rough few months and I was very excited about being able to eat crepes so I got upset. I ended up ordering pork belly, which was good, and potatoes without the sauce, which were bland. I also got the pomegranate tea, which was not good at all. It’s not the waitress’s fault that they were out of GF batter but Crêpe Bar is almost an hour away from me. The whole experience sucked. I will not be back.
