We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which we chose for peace and quiet and proximity to nature and national parks. Perfect on both counts. You do need to go prepared, with food and everything else you need as there are no shops open on the weekend anywhere nearby. The bed was really comfy, window views of nature were stunning, and we enjoyed the spa bath and heating available in the rooms. Kitchen and fridge were used daily. No plug in the kitchen sink was a small inconvenience. We ate at the on-site restaurant on Sunday night. Service was excellent but meals were small and pricey. Gluten-free and vegan options were limited (no dessert options for me). Our main complaint was the lack of healthy carbs with meals. Potato chips were the only option. Coconut rice would have been appreciated with the fish of the day meal. Many guests have been very active, walking trails in the day and 2 tiny pieces of fish, for $45, were not filling enough.
