BEST HIDDEN GEM GELATO IN ALL OF ROMA! We had just arrived in Roma when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Cremeria Monteforte. I can say with ease that this is the best gelato we had our entire trip. As a celiac, I wasn’t expecting the staff to be so knowledgeable about a gluten free diet, but it they ended up being amazing! They even had gluten free cones and used a new gelato scoop. I ordered lemon and stracciatella. The lemon was creamy and tasted so fresh. The stracciatella had an amazing vanilla flavor and the chocolate was rich and delicious. The location was convenient because it was located right outside of the Pantheon. If you are visiting Roma, I recommend Cremeria Monteforte 100%.

I honestly can't understand why an ice cream shop with such good ice cream and close to the Pantheon doesn't have a queue outside, at least when I go there. I love chocolate and eggnog mousse, coffee and creams in general. The pistachio I just tasted is also really special. The ice cream does not have a very low price but the wafer is also of high quality, especially the one for celiacs. Finally, the owner has been making ice cream for at least 25 years and is a very nice person, so try their cones and you won't regret it
