Crewe & Harpur

Myself and my husband were dining with a couple of friends. We have never visited previously but will be sure to return. My husband is celiac and they had a whole separate menu for him but it’s the staff that are the real hidden gem. So friendly and welcoming. We were greeted by Georgina and looked after by Adele. ( a waitress who had taken such great off us previously). They helped us choose a gluten free option on the lunch menu for my husband so he could be included with us. We had the budget friendly lunch menu and I had the fish goujons were beautifully crisp and the fish soft and flakey. He had gammon with a fresh runny egg. All four of us had the sticky toffee for afters , which was so light and soft. I want the recipe. We were told upon paying that the chef that had cooked for us was Bertie. We cannot wait to return and sample more of his cooking. A weekend menu was mentioned so we will be booking in soon.

I would just like to thank the staff at the Crew & Harper for an exceptional lunch on the 21st February. All the staff were wonderful. Clare was outstanding. It was my uncles birthday and Clair gave him special treatment making his day. She even put a candle in his dessert. In fact Clair looked after Us all with great attention to detail. We were a party of 9. (Including Two coeliacs and a baby). Many thanks for a wonderful time. Xx
