A visit for lunch, to see family, on the way south to Manchester. Excellent service and delicious food. Very helpful staff, catering for gluten free requirements of one of our party. Cannot comment on the rooms, as we weren't staying the night. The public areas are to a high standard, so I'm sure that the rooms would be as well.

Came for my birthday tes, excited that they had several GF options on the menu. On choosing fish and chips, I was told that I couldn't have the chips due to cross contamination in the cooking. Their chips are only suitable as gf if cutting out gluten for health reasons!!! Clearly false advertising. If coeliac please avoid eating here!!!
