Had lunch at Crust on Friday and shared a Nicky’s Burrata small pizza and arugula salad, which was very good, excellent service and a good experience. Had an opportunity to talk with a manager about gluten free options for my highly-gluten sensitive husband. Was excited to go to Crust the following evening with friends so he could have a great gf pizza that I was assured would be safe for him. We arrive for our 5:30 reservation and were seated promptly in the very busy restaurant. Talk w the waitress to explain the gluten sensitivity and asked for recommendations. When Tracy explained that the gf pizza was a small individual crust not made in house but was very good and no issue with cross- contamination and the Nicky’s burrata was the top seller, my husband ordered that, we ordered the arugula salad to share and I ordered the regular crust pizza. The gf pizza came out on a typical gf crust (nothing special) floating in olive oil from the pesto and very light on toppings, and the arugula salad had croutons on it! When pointing that out to Tracy she said she would check and returns to say it comes with croutons (and was noted on the menu) but it would have been very helpful if she had pointed out that before we ordered it to share. So bottom line, NOT recommended for anyone with gluten allergies or if you seek recommendations on dietary issues.
