We choose Culver’s for quick meals on the go because of the gluten-free options, which are important for my family due to dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, every visit seems to come with service issues, and today’s experience was no different.
We ordered curbside pickup: 2 kids’ meals (one with a gluten-free bun) and an adult burger meal. While the food came out quickly, the order was missing essential items—no utensils, condiments, or the chocolate milk included in my child’s meal. I went inside and kindly asked for mayo, mustard, ketchup, three spoons, two straws, and the missing chocolate milk. The young man assisting me was polite and apologetic, gathering everything I requested.
However, a young lady in a black hat, who seemed to be a manager or supervisor, intervened and insisted the chocolate milk “should have been in the bag.” After I assured her it wasn’t and suggested she could check the bags, she hesitantly handed me the milk.
Back at the car, I discovered the mayo was still missing—this was now the third time I had to address the issue. To top it off, the gluten-free burger was missing its grilled onions, and the overall order required multiple corrections.
For a paying customer I expect decent service. It’s frustrating to face such inefficiencies, especially when Culver’s is one of the few fast-food chains offering gluten-free options. While the food itself is decent, the service is consistently disappointing. If there were better gluten-free alternatives, I’d likely take my business elsewhere.
I hope this feedback helps improve service, as it’s a shame to see good food overshadowed by poor execution and customer care.
