Curio Bistro

I came to New Orleans for my bachelorette party and my group decided to eat here. My sister and I both have a severe gluten allergy and it is hard enough to eat anywhere in the city. I asked my waiter if there were croutons on the salad and they replied no. He then brought both of our salads out full of croutons. I sent it back to be remade and reiterated that we have an allergy. The kitchen staff then proceeded to pick off the croutons on the salad instead of remaking it and sent it back to us. We had many bites before digging to the bottom and realizing it was full of croutons still. The service was slow, and my waiter didn’t care about our food requests. The manager did comp the meal for us but the potential of us ending up in the hospital due to an allergic reaction was unacceptable. The waiter then proceeded to joke with us about it on the way out. He should be fired. TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE MORE VIGILANT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES. THEY ARE SERIOUS FOR SOME PEOPLE AND COULD KILL THEM.

Delicious! The food was great, we got to sit on the balcony upstairs, and our server was very attentive of one member's gluten intolerance. Get the grit tots!
