Got takeaway (therefore my photos aren't great but i promise the food was great). Messaged them on google maps asking if i could pick up and they responded within seconds, super easy to communicate in english. Ordered the palak paneer, palak rice, and roasted eggplant. Ready in 15 minutes. I appreciate they taped the lid to the containers to prevent spillage. Some of the best Indian food I've had. Good portions, i like that they included generous portion of paneer (because other places i've tried don't and just give you a bunch of spinach sauce). The eggplant was phenomenal, unique and deep flavors. The interior looked clean and had AC, closed doors too so minimal noise from road. I would come back again for either takeout or dine-in. Only cons so far are it's a bit pricey (average 70-90K per dish) and food had too much oil.
Update: came back again for dine-in and happy we did. They have an upstairs dining area, open air and breezy, with lots of natural light and quieter as it’s further from street. The head chef and owner Depak (spelling?) visited our table to chat with us about the flavors and background of some dishes which was really nice and fun. It was great to hear that they think about spices and ingredients from a health as well as taste perspective — they avoid ingredients/food combos that cause bloating and proportion their serving sizes based on health standards. We also had friendly convo with one of the waiters. The food was delicious, we got the make-it yourself thali (you choose different sides and mains), vegetarian lamb (really good, can’t believe it’s vegetarian AND gluten free), and famous lemon rice. Recommend all of them, especially the lemon rice. I’m amazed by the kindness and intentionality that the restaurants demonstrates in so avenues of their operation.
