Cwispy CHKN is a hidden gem in plain sight. Our first time ever and couldn't have been more surprised. Many Gluten Free Options , Bell and Evans Organic Chicken, grilled options, made from scratch sauces, and the best fried chicken strips we have had. Even their sodas are artisanal and healthier. My wife is gluten free and having an option like this is awesome. We spoke to the owner at length and he told us everything has changed since he opened up (he took all the comments very seriously). The story isn't just the food. Carson, one of the 2 owners, is a 32-year-old Stamford native and Stamford High Graduate. He and his business partner learned their skills at Johnson and Wales Culinary School. I am no expert in the restaurant biz but highly recommended that he get his message out not only about his food but about his story. I love small businesses and love Shippan and want him to succeed, just like all our other Shippan spots. My mourning period for McGee's has finally ended.

Love Love Love what they are doing. They use all super fresh ingredients, avocado oil, gluten-free breading, etc. etc. Very intentional about their choices of ingredients as we should be very intentional about what we consume. Thank you Cwispy Healthy Chicken!.
