Went here with my parents for dinner. My mother is coeliac which we mentioned to the staff on arrival. The staff were very knowledgeable and gave my mother a gluten free menu. We were then excellently looked after by Spike who was really friendly and professional and very reassuring when advising on gluten free options. The food was also really good.

Lovely meal in comfortable surroundings. Extensive menu with reasonable prices. Was asked about any allergies before seating and there is a Gluten free menu if you have this problem. Staff are very helpful but not over- bearing and present a welcoming demeanour. Covid precautions are evident and staff compliant. Toilet facilities are on an upper floor which may prove difficult for some to reach but they are clean and well serviced. Having asked for a cheese- board I was told that I could choose 3 out of 6 but the waiter was unable to supply details of the choices and the management was sought to supply the information. This did not distract from the overall dining experience but it would be better if the choices were at least published. Price was reasonable considering the food was exceptionally presented and of a very high standard. Wine is expensive, even for a vin de pays with anything from £10 - £25 for a bottle and a glass (175 ml) about £5. Nevertheless, a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Would definitely recommend a visit. Booking online is swift with confirmation more or less instant.
