I would like to start by emphasizing that the food and the atmosphere were lovely on our visit with excellent provision for gluten free options. However, for the second time in a row the following situation happened : 1) I make a reservation through an offer link sent to me by Cote with complimentary cremant 2) Upon arrival the staff confirm this offer 3) We order the complimentary cremant and reconfirm the offer code 4) When the the bill arrives it contains the full cost of the cremant 5) I then have to quibble and explain again and get the bill corrected 6) Various excuses are offered such as "You didn't let us know" (which I did) or "it is very busy" (which it wasn't) At the end of a lovely meal it is disappointing to have to tackle this matter (again !!) I would like to know if Cote Richmond are hoping that I won't notice and pay for the drinks or is it a system issue or is it staff training ? In any event it is a little unpleasant and it does not happen at other branches of Cote I hope you will get back to me on this and that this can be ironed out.

Unfortunately we had a poor experience at Cote this March 2024. The service was poor and slow. We were asked what we wanted to drink before we were seated at our table, we had to wait over 20 minutes to order our food, no one asked how the food was, either during the meal or when we were paying. We weren’t offered a pudding menu or extra drinks despite waiting 35 minutes after our plates were cleared. My partner’s steak was rare (asked for medium rare), he wasn’t given a steak knife, and the food in general was over priced. We don’t plan on returning. The only positive element of our meal was that the fish pie is gluten free.
