Absolutely glowing review for Deru! From the moment we contacted Deru for our wedding cake, we knew we were in excellent hands. Lezlie's professionalism and genuine care were evident from the start. We opted for their signature carrot cake, and it was, without exaggeration, the best carrot cake we've ever tasted. It was moist, flavorful, and absolutely divine – we are still receiving compliments from our guests weeks later! The logistics of delivering to the Space Needle take a little extra care, but Lezlie handled it with grace and punctuality. She arrived precisely on time, ensuring our cake was perfectly placed and ready for our celebration. What truly set Deru apart was their attentiveness to our guests' dietary needs. We had guests with a tree nut allergy and others requiring gluten-free options. Lezlie thoughtfully recommended a delicious mini chocolate cake for the nut allergy, which was a huge hit. For our gluten-free guests, she offered their incredible jam drop cookies, which were equally raved about. This level of personalized service and consideration was beyond our expectations. Our florist added some simple flowers to the cake, which complemented its natural beauty perfectly. Absolutely love DERU!!! The atmosphere is fun and joyful... with lots of action and full of people. I have had 2 experiences at Deru, and both times, the service was excellant- our servers were lovely...today it was Melina and she is amazing!!! We ordered the sweet potato / Kale salad, the roasted chicken and goat cheese sandwich, the fabulous French fries( these are some of the best I've had and I love French fries), and the jam dot(dairy free and gluten free) cookie. WOW!!!! All of it was so delish and lit up my taste buds and brought sheer happiness to my belly and soul!!! They have THE BEST gluten free cookies - especially the dark chocolate peanut butter one! The level of sweetness is just perfect.
