Da Vinci Italian Restaurant - Calahonda

We ordered two regular pizzas and one gluten-free pizza. Fortunately, while I was there, I saw the pizza maker cutting all the pizzas with the same knife. When specifically asked, they admitted there is a risk of cross-contamination. The manager said that, of all days, the tray for the gluten-free pizza was missing today. It’s very odd; I wouldn't recommend it, if only because of the knife situation. We only got two regular pizzas there to take away.

We went because we read that they had gluten-free options with another friendly family and we are a family with high gluten sensitivity. They prepared us salmon with tereyaki rice and a risotto with super careful seafood. The food is very good. And for dessert, a Catalan cream. They also offered us pasta options. Always willing to explain all the processes, very friendly and aware of the gluten problem. Highly recommended in the area. Thank you very much da Vinci!
