Danu Cellars at Dark Horse Estate Winery

Danu is my new favourite restaurant! We were lucky enough to get to have our wedding reception at Danu and it was absolutely amazing! Everyone loved their food - we had the steak, ravioli, and pickerel as the options for guests. Narrowing down the choices from the fall menu was a task that took a lot of time and deliberation - all the dishes sounded amazing! We had number of guests with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, dairy free, and gluten free) and Danu was able to accommodate everyone. Everyone’s food was cooked perfectly, and the presentation was next level! You can tell a lot of care was put into every single plate, which is extra impressive when you are cooking for 40 people at the same time. The service was amazing. It is like the servers knew what you needed before you did, and then they were right there with it. All of the staff were super friendly and happy, which just made the experience that much better. I can’t wait to come back - I want to try everything on the menu! Make sure to save room for dessert - the carrot cake with cinnamon ice cream and the pumpkin crème brûle are out of this world delicious! Thank you so much to the Chef, kitchen staff, and severs for making our wedding reception so special! Our goal for the reception was to have a delicious dinner and amazing drinks with some of our closest family and friends, and Danu delivered that amazingly.

I almost hesitate to post this review because this place is SO good I don't want it to get busy 😂 Stopped in today for the first time to eat for brunch - and WOW! The ambiance is incredible, and the food was bursting with so many flavours. They were able to accommodate a gluten sensitivity which is always appreciated. Great service, great menu, very comfortable chairs (so good I had to mention). Excellent place for a special meal with friends or loved ones. Will definitely be returning!
