Review: Great food, but some compromises in service
At first glance, the restaurant impresses with a great atmosphere - the atmosphere is lively, the ambience is inviting. The food is always excellent: fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, a few points cloud the overall picture.
A major drawback is the lack of transparency regarding the allergens on the menu. Instead of clear labels, there is only a hint to ask the staff. But that's exactly where the problem lies: On several occasions the team was visibly overwhelmed and unsure when answering questions about allergens. This is anything but ideal for people with celiac disease or other intolerances.
The reservation policy also provides for deductions. A maximum of two hours at the table – that feels like mass processing. Precisely because the atmosphere is so pleasant and the food is convincing, you would like to stay longer. But with the strict time constraints, the feeling of being “pushed along” quickly arises.
Another point of criticism is the winter garden in winter. Unfortunately it is very cold there and there is an unpleasant draft, which makes the stay uncomfortable. Anyone placed there should dress warmly.
Added to this is the stress level of the staff. The service is friendly, but obviously overloaded. This is noticeable in the hectic pace, which unfortunately also affects the guests. The restaurant is always very crowded.
Conclusion: A restaurant with potential, great atmosphere and excellent food - but there is a clear need for improvement in the service. If you have to pay attention to allergens or are planning a relaxed, cozy evening, you could be disappointed.
