Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse

If you have celiac or gluten intolerance don't come here. My husband and I were attending an event. Each place setting had the name of the attendee and a color dot representing what protein they ordered: fish, steak / chicken or vegetarian. The waiter came to my table and I informed him that I am gluten free and he said no problem. I asked him "you're not going to kill me, am i safe?" He replied yes. The whole table heard me! 3 out of the 4 meals were wrong at our table! My husband who ordered vegetarian got my salmon, the woman across me who ordered the salmon got chicken and I got this dish that looked like scallops. Thank God I didn't bite into it , it was gnocchi. My husband traded with me so that I can have the salmon. I took bites of the meal and then it occurred to me this isn't gluten free! I grabbed another waitress and asked what is this grain??? She replied farrow!!! I screamed what have you done to me???!!! I ran to the restroom to try and throw it up. I came back to the table and my husband said we are leaving. As we were leaving, in the hall area, a man with a suit holding a plate approached me. The manager. Basically he informed us it was the events responsibility to have mentioned it to them about the gluten and I said NO, don't blame it on the event, blame it on the waiter! The manager said the waiter didn't inform the kitchen about the gluten. And there you have it! Davios is the one responsible !!!!

Normally we love Davios, but my girlfriend and I had an extremely sub-par experience here for Valentine’s day. We booked an 8:30 reservation months in advance and after showing up and being told we’d be seated soon, we were left standing for over 15 minutes with no word on when we’d be sat while other reservations walked in and were seated immediately. Once we were finally brought to our table, (candles were unlit unlike every other table around us) it took close to another 15 minutes before we were asked for our drink selections. After even more time had passed, I was made aware they were “out” of the beer I selected on the menu, and they brought my girlfriend’s espresso martini with a lime wedge? Up until this point we brushed everything off, realizing it was a busy night and that everyone has their off days. Once they brought out gluten free pasta for my girlfriend (which she didn’t ask for) and regular pasta for me, it was apparent mistakes were being made left and right. I mentioned to our waiter and he apologized and took both dishes back to the kitchen. It was obvious they stuck one of the pastas in the oven to keep it warm and made another without the gluten free pasta, because once they brought out the right dishes, one was extremely watery and the other was extremely dry (which is the one i assume they put in the oven to keep warm). Just a dissatisfying and disappointing experience from a place we usually rave about.
