Davis Diner

So this review is based on a few things and is basically a review from a few different people bc I can't eat here due to allergy issues. My parents love and adore this place, and they are always raving about the food. They invited me to join them today and I had to make my usual allergy call to see if I could eat there. Unfortunately with a wheat, nut, sesame, and soybean allergy there aren't many restaurants I can eat at. The staff that I spoke with had a difficult time helping me sort through their ingredients (specifically oil and butter) but was EXTREMELY helpful and kind and patient. So for any allergy-sufferers out there, here's what I found: the fryer uses a gluten free vegetable mix (clear frying oil) which is soy-based, and on the griddle they use a butter-flavored oil (which is also usually soybean based).
