Day's Crabmeat & Lobster

When we told a friend we were coming up to Maine he said we have to stop at Day's for a lobster roll. So my husband got the lobster roll, and it looked picture perfect in a toasted bun with lots of plump lobster bits. He said it was good, and having never had a lobster roll before didn't have anything to compare it to. Since I am gluten free, I called ahead to confirm their lobster corn chowder didn't have any flour which it didn't. I was expecting a traditional cream based chowder, but this chowder was thinner and more tomato based. It had a strong fish flavor and I tried a couple bites but it just wasn't for me. The fresh cut fries were delicious though. They have lots of seating out back and the view is tranquil and serene.

Just moved to Maine and have been on a journey to find places with lobster rolls to try. Found this place on Google with a higher rating than others, so I decided to try it. There was seating outside, I did not go inside as I had my dog with me. It is clearly a popular place as people came off the road as I was waiting for my food and the parking lot was filling up. You order outside through a window and go to the next window to pick up your food. I sat in the car and ate, enjoying the view. I did not finish the food. It was enough for dinner as well. I got a gluten-free bread with the lobster. I will say that having dietary restrictions, the young lady at the window made sure my food was cooked away from other food. I did not ask, but she made sure she looked out for me. So, kudos for the service.
