De Zon Hotel & Restaurant by Flow

Beautifully situated on the Vecht. Friendly and willing staff. We stayed there from May 26-28, we stayed on the 2nd floor, room 2. Excellent room, clean, shower/bathroom a bit dated but fine. Beds good, slept wonderfully. Good breakfast, suggestion, signs with the bread what type of bread it is, because of people with an intolerance or allergy. In my case, casein intolerance (reaction to protein), since wheat contains gluten, gluten is a protein, so it is a no go for me. 100% whole wheat, rye, buckwheat and/or Waldkorn is fine, as long as it does not contain wheat. Another suggestion, small trash cans on the table for breakfast waste. What did not go well was the beach pavilion, very cozy on the water, but it was busy and because there were too few staff, things did not run smoothly, for example the wait for the bitterballen was more than half an hour. The server did his best, but it didn't get through to the kitchen. So a point of attention 😉. And they couldn't get a cup of coffee there either 😁. What I personally had trouble with were the lobsters in the aquarium 😔. The suffering this animal has to endure for such a small amount of meat. The documentary Seaspiracy on Netflix makes everyone aware of our oceans and the so-called quality mark labels for fish. Apart from all this, our stay at hotel de Zon was very pleasant and pleasant and we would definitely choose it again.
