We've eaten at Dead Horse Hill a number of times and can say confidently they rank among the top 5 meals I've had in my life. Tonight we had oysters and brussel sprouts to start. Both fantastic in their own way. The oysters were fresh and clean tasting with the brussel sprouts reminding me of falafel with how they were spiced (not to mention the black garlic pepper sauce sauce they come with kicking the flavors into an umami bomb like you've never experienced before). From there we had the rainbow trout (with celery root), the picanha steak, and the crab risotto. The flavor on the rainbow trout was outstanding with everything on the plate partnering perfectly to create an almost out of body experience it was that good, trust me. The steak was fantastic playing with the blue corn and squash/veggie to create an amazingly familiar yet unique approach in flavor. Everything melded perfectly together again showing the skill/passion Dead Horse has available. The crab risotto was equally delicious in its own respect showcasing the crab while giving spice and flavor to the risotto that was cravable. From there we finished with a cappuccino (cannot recommend this enough) and they had an inverted carrot cheesecake that was both gluten free and something you'll find yourself dreaming about or looking to hit the menu again next time you're there. We always enjoy our time and meal here. Cocktails are an event! Roast chicken was moist and sides were delicious. Sitting at the bar is highly recommended. Gluten free meals are available too!
