Dees Brothers Brewery

This place just hits right. Dees Brothers is one of those local gems where you walk in and instantly feel at home. The beer is on point—tons of variety, and they’re always experimenting with new stuff. Hipster Potion #4 is my go-to, but honestly, I haven’t had a bad beer there yet. Food’s way better than your typical brewery fare. What I really like is how inclusive the menu is—vegan options, gluten-free stuff, and it’s all actually good. You can bring just about anyone here and they’ll find something they’ll enjoy. The vibe is relaxed, they’ve got a great outdoor space, arcade games inside, and they keep things fun with live music and events, like bingo on Tuesday night. It’s a perfect hang for a casual night out or an afternoon in downtown Sanford. I love what they’re doing—supporting local, making great beer, and creating a space that feels like community. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been.

We are from North Carolina and stopped in on a Friday night with our kid. We hung out in the beer garden outside and enjoyed the yard games, space and laid back vibes. With multiple sitting areas there were options inside and outside to hang, which was nice. I am gluten free (sensitivity- not Chrons level allergy) and they took great care of me. Staff walked me through the menu options that worked for me for both food and drink. I enjoyed a black cherry seltzer-type that was flavorful without being too strong in the cherry realm. My husband (who enjoys all grains) had a few beers and said they were really good! We enjoyed dinner as well and every items was a hit- gluten free garlic bread (cauliflower pizza crust - yumm!), chorizo chili, spicy Italian beef, kids macaroni and chips. There wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy. Our 10 year old especially loved all the space and great breed outside. If we lived in the area it would definitely be a regular spot! TLDR: the location was great, we enjoyed all the food and beverages, great time had by all!
