Deja-Vu Holten

Do you eat gluten-free? Then this is what you need to know. First of all I have to say that the atmosphere is good and the staff is very friendly! The restaurant is large and yet you can understand each other well. My mediocre review has nothing to do with that. There is a menu for people on a gluten-free diet and a wide choice. However... when serving the dishes I had to double check every time whether my dish was really gluten-free and unfortunately that went terribly wrong several times! I was happily served gluten 3 times. Because gluten really makes me whole, it is very unpleasant and completely lost my confidence in a healthy outcome. The card also does not indicate what you will get on your plate. Furthermore, the GM dishes are completely soulless and tasteless! The sauce (seasoning) is omitted, so that for the three dishes that went well, I ended up with an unseasoned and even salt-free dry piece of meat on my plate. Fries? Not possible. Alternative? Not present. Desserts? Not possible, but fresh fruit is. Cocktails then...unfortunately they hardly contain any alcohol but they look beautiful. I didn't get angry, but I did express my concerns about my health. Once again staff super friendly but they don't take you seriously. In summary, do you have a gluten allergy? Don't eat here! If you go, check every dish twice, otherwise you will unfortunately go home sick. My advice for Deja-Vu: explain better on the menu what you can expect from your dish, purchase a separate fryer for GF and simply use a different color plate for GF. Maybe a little bit of attention to the taste on the plate would be nice, it's really inedible, sorry. Once that has all been arranged, I would like to come and taste it again and then hopefully I will revise the review positively.

The four of us had a delicious meal. One person is gluten free and that worked out fine, no problems. We'll be going again soon.
