Del Rossi's Cheesesteak & Pizza CO.

Everyone begging the counter is mad cool. They’re friendly, engaging, and give good vibes all around. As a pizza and bread man myself I have to say the food is top notch. I talked to the girl behind the counter about their dough process, fermentation times and she was knowledgeable and didn’t try to gatekeep all their methods. The bread was AMAZING, cheesesteak was one of the best I’ve had. The pizza was great. Light, airy, the crisp was outstanding. This as paper and when I bit into the crust there was a crunch that made my eyes open wide. The gluten structure was amazing. Beautiful crumb and sauce was perfect. I picked up on my way to the Eagles vs Lions and got a store wide GO BIRDS as I was leaving. This was waaaaay faster than having to wait at Angelo’s for an hour for food that was pretty much just as good. I still prefer Angelo’s bread, but the much quicker service made Del Rossi the 1.b on my list of steak/pizza places in the city……eventhough they were packed I was only there for about 8 minutes…..

Excellent cheesesteak and pizza! My wife and I split a cheesesteak with onions on seeded roll, the roll was perfect and there was great meat to bread ratio. They have pizza by the slice available and we split a slice of cheese--it was spectacular; perfectly cooked with great crunch and char on the crust, perfect amount of gluten formation and the sauce and cheese were top quality (all for $3.50). You can tell they allowed the dough to proof well and know what they are doing. The restaurant itself also has plenty of seating and had a cool atmosphere for a pizza shop.
