Delrio's Restaurant

An absolute must visit if you are in York and want a romantic meal with amazing food! Me and my boyfriend find any excuse to go its that good! Also extremely accommodating for coeliacs and a gluten free diet, almost everything can be made gluten free on the menu (except pizza and pasta), the staff are very well informed on this too! The risotto is gorgeous! Staff are lovely and the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic and cosy! Boyfriend also says the cheese and pear pasta is the best meal he has ever had!!

Came here tonight after a friend recommended for authentic Italian food, it did not disappoint! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I have coeliac disease so one of the servers went through the the entire menu with me to tell me what I could have or what could be adapted to gluten free which I thought was a lovely touch. I couldn’t have pizza or pasta dishes as all is homemade but there was a lot I could have. Had a beautiful starter and chicken main. I highly recommend asking for a table downstairs as it has a more comfortable and romantic atmosphere. My boyfriend ate a seafood Linguine and he said it’s the best he’s ever had. Will definitely return the next time I come to York!
