We went because we'd been there before (before I was gluten free) and it was the tastiest thing around! And now that they have gluten free offerings, we were excited to go again. Sadly, it was the toughest thing I have ever bitten into. When I popped that first piece into my mouth, I thought there was some sort of mistake. It felt like biting a rock! And the meat was so tough. My jaw started to hurt so badly that I couldn't eat many pieces (even if they weren't good, I was hungry). My girlfriend's chicken, not gluten free, was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! So maybe don't go if you're gluten free haha. Also they forgot to bring us our sodas, and after I reminded the waitress about them, she only gave us one (and still charged us for the two we ordered). They don't show you an itemized receipt before you pay, and after I paid I figured it was too much of a hassle. Not a big issue, but uncool nonetheless.

Ordering from the gluten-free menu, I had the garlic soy chicken stew with sweet potato noodles, spicy style. It was awful. Truly awful. It wasn’t very spicy, rather extremely sweet, too sweet for me to enjoy anything about it. The chicken came as wings with bones in them. This was a surprise to me, as I wasn’t expecting to have to pick the protein out of the stew and eat it with my hands. It was a mess, and that was some of the grossest chicken I’ve ever had. It had claimed to have been marinated, but it didn’t taste that way. It tasted very bland, and I’m not sure how to describe this, but strongly of the chicken skin. I tried two pieces as I was only working in town and didn’t have the time to send it back or anything. I ate the noodles and some vegetables, all seemed very overcooked, and again, everything was swimming in this overly sweet stew. Basically I paid $25 dollars for a small pot of tea and some rice, and the rest was choked down out of absolute necessity. That being said, I would love to try the chicken fried, and deeply appreciate the gluten free menu!
